Cathy BarretT - Executive Vice President of Administration

Ms. Barrett has nearly 25 years experience in the healthcare industry, and is a nationally recognized expert in Coding and Reimbursement, as well as, Emergency Department Operations, Physician Group Practice Management, EMR Selection and implementation, Care Management, and Observation Services.

Ms. Barrett has led billing “turn around” projects successfully and has implemented key strategic process solutions that have resulted in organizations exceeding financial and other performance goals. She has developed and successfully implemented several quality based programs that have increased satisfaction, achieved quality measure compliance, improved turnaround times, decreased length of stay, reduced mortality and improved financial performance.

Cathy performs extensive consulting and speaking engagements nationally, and is a member of a reimbursement committee with Blue Cross/Blue Shield. Cathy holds degrees from University of Michigan, Michigan State University, Central Michigan University, and Schoolcraft College. Cathy is certified in LEAN, certified as a Professional Coder, and certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Cathy received the Nurse Practitioner of the Year Award from both the Michigan Council of Nurse Practitioners and American Academy of Nurse Practitioners in 2003.
