Jamey Baker - Vice President of Operations & COO

Jamey has worked in EMS for over 18 years in both the private EMS sector and the municipal fire sector. His experience spans paramedic field services to executive level EMS administration. Jamey's current responsibilities include the executive management of multiple hospital sponsored EMS operations in Ohio, Kentucky, and Texas, and the executive oversight of all divisions within the Parastar Corporation. Jamey’s current position involves him being part of the senior executive team of the Community EMS national family of companies. Community EMS is a private, non-profit ambulance company headquartered in Southfield Michigan and is a wholly owned subsidiary of Botsford Hospital. Community EMS is the largest and longest licensed private ambulance company in Southeast Michigan and is the parent company of Parastar, Inc, Life Support Training Institute, CEMTech, CASTech, and multiple non-profit ambulance companies nationally.

Over the past nearly two decades Jamey has performed multiple medical and non-medical logistics consultancies for municipalities, private EMS agencies, and healthcare systems in more than 10 states in the US and is actively involved with similar projects in several international countries. Proven executive competencies include high-performance EMS system design, business case development, fiscal and operational strategies, planning, implementation, and management of joint-venture operations, deployment/utilization analysis and recommendations, feasibility studies, budget planning, mass public transit routing research and management, facilitation of business acquisitions and valuations, interim executive management, emergency communications systems, and comprehensive interlinking of ground, air, and non-medical transportation systems.

Jamey holds a Masters of Business Administration degree, Bachelors of Business Administration degree, a certification in ambulance services management and is a nationally registered paramedic.

Jamey currently serves as an active member of the Emergency Medical Services Advisory Council Board of Directors, the South East Transit Board of Trustees as Vice President of the Board, and President of the Board of Community EMS of Ohio. Jamey is also a member of several paramedic training advisory groups, and EMS trade organizations on a state and national scale.
