Ellen Fleming

As the LSTI Faculty I/C, Ellen brings a 23 year career in emergency medical services that spans everything from EMT ambulatory work to flight paramedic and operational and management supervision of Paramedic Services at Community EMS (LSTI’s parent organization) and other southeast Michigan emergency service providers. Her hands-on and in-field experiences are hallmarks of what LSTI faculty offers students with depth of frontline experiences coupled with the educational and technical services background. She is LSTI’s CAAS Accreditation coordinator for Community EMS and is a Professional Review Organization member at OCMCA. In addition, Ellen serves as a member of the Medical Control Committee for the Oakland County Medical Control Authority as well as being a member of both the National Association of EMT’s and American Ambulance Association. Ellen attended Oakland University and has been recognized as Oakland County’s EMS Provider of the Year and as the American Ambulance Association’s Star of Life recipient.
