Community EMS proudly announces it has developed a community partnership with Kettering Health Network of Ohio. This partnership will allow Community EMS to be the single-source provider of transportation services for the Kettering Network.  The partnership officially launched in March of this year and has experienced rapid growth ever since. The service provides basic, advanced, MICU and wheelchair services to Kettering’s network of hospitals.

Kettering chose Community EMS because it is nationally and internationally recognized as a leader in medical and non-medical logistics and consulting, and they sought a single source solution that was metrically driven and could encompass all aspects of their care delivery model. With nearly 30 years of experience, Community EMS has partnered with hospital systems to provide ambulance services that turn cost centers into profit centers.

The new partnership will be managed by Parastar Inc., a national ambulance management and consulting firm, established in 1988 as a wholly owned subsidiary of Community EMS that assists fire departments and healthcare delivery systems with system design while implementing cost-effective, quality-driven transportation systems to meet each client’s unique needs.

Commenting on the partnership, Jamey Baker, Executive Vice President of Community EMS and Parastar said, “Community EMS and Kettering both shared a patient-centered focus towards service excellence which made collaborating together a natural choice”.

Community EMS is Michigan’s largest not-for-profit ambulance provider and is a corporate division of Botsford Health Care.
